Re: Tires Question

As far as mileage goes, the best I ever got from a new set of tires was 77,000 miles on a set of Goodyear Wranglers on a 2000 Z71 that were rotated every 4,000 miles. However, they had some pretty good hum to them and they slung rocks like crazy. The tire store told me I had beaten the odds by rotating them as often as I did; most people don't do that on a 4 x 4 and they only get 60,000 or so miles from a set.

I still like my Destination AT's though....they are $40-50 per tire cheaper than the Wranglers and they ride much smoother on the highway where we all spend most of our time (not in the mud).

They quoted me $818.00 out the door!!!

Got to be a better deal out there for an LT tire!!

I bought two sets of them on here for the $400-450 range and both looked brand new.

I have Firestones AT on my work truck and gets 99% hi-way miles. They ride good but sing worse than I do (but they don't get rotated) and got about 28k on then. 2002 chevy 1500 Z71. My personal truck has goodyear wrangler rts and they ride good quiet and pull fair. Can't tell on mileage as these were on truck when I bought used.
