Tires Question
Well the time has come to buy some new tires. I currently have BF Goodrich mud tires but I don't want to spend 1200 bucks on another set of tires. i have a 17 inch rim.
Thought about these few.
Maxxis mudders- i hate them but they are cheap and usually last awhile
mud dawgs- know nothing about these, but they are a little loud
firestone destination
bfg all terrain
any help would be appreciated. i either want an all terrain or a mud tire. i hate the way slicks look on a truck.

Re: Tires Question
go ahead and buy the bfgoodrich all terrains. They are the best tires made and well worth the money.
Re: Tires Question
Nitto Terra Grappler hands down.
I recently put a set on my F150 Supercrew which also has 17" wheels. Local shop charged me $450 out the door for a set of (4) and included a 50k mile warranty. One of the few all-terrain tires that do include a warranty.
So far I happy with them, they are quite on the road and smooth. I was a big fan of Yokohoma AT+II until they got discontinued. These Nittos have replaced the AT+II in my mind.

Second that! I just put a set on my Z-71, also a 17 inch rim.
They are the most aggressive All Terrain that I could find, and I am very impressed with them so far!

nooooooooooo! worst tires for the money i have ever had. they sling rocks bad for the first 10k miles or so and dont last as long as the other cheaper brands i have had.
go to a tire dealer and ask if they have any new take offs and see what kinda deal they ll give ya. they get tons of em from dudes buying new trucks and trickin them out.
Re: Tires Question
Was looking at some Hankook Dyanpro 285 70 17's @ Big 10...
They quoted me $818.00 out the door!!!
Got to be a better deal out there for an LT tire!!

Re: Tires Question
I have always had good luck with BFG ta/ko's, look good, great mileage, low road noise, and no problems in mud

Re: Tires Question
I get 70,000 miles out of the destination "non at version", been running them or their equivalent since '95.

Toyo A/T and the Cooper are some of out best sellers. The Toyo is my pick.
Re: Tires Question
+1 for the Destinations
I try to get mine balanced and rotated about every 8-10k. Mine are on a Tundra, Dad runs them on a Z71. Good all around tire.
