Migratory Game Bird Tags

Saw this topic at the MDWFP forum. Can someone help me out with rules & regulations on this?

I want to make sure you all are legal this hunting season. There has been a lot of discussion on the tagging requirements for migratory game birds. FYI, No person shall give, put or leave any migratory game bird at any place other than his personal abode or in the custody of another person unless the birds are tagged by the hunter. No person or business shall receive or take in custody any migratory game bird belonging to another person unless such birds are properly tagged. To receive free Migratory Game Bird Tags send a self addressed stamped envelope addressed to MDWFP, ATTN.: Migratory Game Bird Tags, 1505 Eastover Dr., Jackson, MS 39211-6374.

I will them in the mail to you ASAP, before the ducks get here anyway.

the way i read this, as long as you have the birds you killed, and nobody elses, tags aren't needed...but if you and buddy leave the hunting area, and he goes to work (for example) and you take the ducks home, his will need to be tagged...If you both killed the limit, you'd possess twice the limit if GW stopped you....correct me if i'm wrong gang
