If you knew from the onset that DU and/or DW are not obligated to assist you with your complaint, then why did you feel it appropriate to criticize both organizations for not responding to your request for assistance?

greenheadgrimreaper, I do feel sorry for you that you are losing a place that you grew up hunting, that sucks no matter what happens. I know I would feel horrible if for some reason we lost our land that has been in the family for a long time that I grew up loving. It will always be a special place for me, and I know you feel the same way about this place.

Are you kidding me drake???.... If you haven't gotten it by now you won't get it. TO GET PEOPLE TO SEE THE ISSUE, TO CLICK ON THE THREAD. DU DW is a hot topic for some and...VOILA...the tactic worked and I gained alot from it, got alot more folks attention.

I swear it's like you talk about someone's mom if you dare "criticize" the two...wa waa waaa...for the love of plump Latino women will you 'scuse me I have some tampon gift certificates to go hand out. 8) If anyone has any questions search back for my number, I'm getting carpal tunnel.

Sometimes it make take a little carpal tunnel to effect change. Got keep up the calls and the writting. Bashing the parties may not help your overall cause. Was it a swamp when the ACOE bought it?

No, you can keep your "tampon gift certificates" for your diarrhea of the mouth that you have.

No, you didn't talk about my "mom" on here, but there are better ways to get your point across without criticizing one or both organization. I am not privy to the conversation that took place between you and DW, but even in your first statement DU adivised you as to the right individuals to contact regarding your issue. At that point you took in upon yourself to come on here complaining about DU, DW and MDWFP at which time Mr. Chad Manlove gave you a respectable statement on DU stance. Next Mr. David Brunke went into detail that USACOE owns this property and that MDWFP only manages for USACE, but that USACE retains control and decisions making rights as to what takes place on the property. Mr. David Brunke also stated that DU and DW have no say so in the management of WMA's within the state of Mississippi.

So, now exactly how has critizing DU and/or DW helped this situation?

We need to not forget about the whole picture here. This swamp isn't just about a decades old duck roost. It's a small ecosystem for a wide varity of species. 15 or so years ago I had the privilage to play a small part in restoring Southern Bald Eagles to the area. 13 chicks were released at Lake Okatibbee and the nesting pairs at N W are a living tribute to the success of the program. I would like to know if an enviromental impact study was done, I seriously doubt it. if so how could they let a nesting area of an endangered species be distroyed.

If there was a pair of endangered spotted owls nesting in that swamp, I can promise you that PETA or the sierra club would have halted the drainage before you can say "granola head" three times.

It is a straight shot from their grassroots-regional staffers to their Washington lobbyists. They would call senators and congressmen and keep hammering away at this issue until it is resolved in their favor. They would run it up the mast and put in the papers and on the news and create a buzz and make bad PA for the COE.

Unreal. You have completely missed it again drake. I have explained my actions. I was trying to keep it civil, but my my how violent some can get on these keyboards. I won't stoop to your level again. You want the last word, you got it man...

Mud...I give a big  to the bashing comment. And yes it was a swamp before the purchase.

BTW we shot the owls. Couldn't take the risk of losing the place. Screw that plan.

Bigwater I would have property in that area before I would in the delta. One day I will have a piece in that neck of the woods, seems to be alot of birds in that area of the world.
