Quail Hunting Help
I am looking to organize a fairly large scale quail hunt for an organization in February 2010. We are only looking for places in Mississippi. What we need is a lodge for some people to rent rooms if they would like, that has meals included at the lodge. We are looking to accommodate around 30 hunters. We would also like to have the option of skeet/trap shooting for people who would like to pay for it, or if we can work out a package deal.
Please PM any recommendations.
Thanks,
Hal

Re: Quail Hunting Help
Circle M is a nice operation in Noxubee County. I think they are listed in Macon.
I meant to add that I don't know if they can handle that many hunters at once or not.

not sure what Circle M can handle, but would contact them, Pretty sure Longleaf plantation could handle your # 's.........however, birds were big and slow when i was there years ago, like shooting fish in a barrel, however if your clients have really never been before , can still be a lot of fun, some other smaller places around, that probably have better birds, but probably unable to handle your #'s http://www.longleafplantation.net

Arrowhead plantation in Money MS has a great set up and they work close with Mallard Manor. They have plenty of room and a heck of a 5 stand.

Prairie Wildlife (Bryan Farms) in West Point has old time quail hunts, complete with mule drawn wagon/dogs/lodging/etc. Not sure about the clay targets.
Are we gonna get wet?

There's only one answer to this... Longleaf Plantation in Lumberton. With that said, they are not a mom and pop operation, it's first class, expensive, but first class. They have everything you are asking for...

Ask for Reece Holford.

+1 on Fitch Farms. Not sure how many they can handle, but it's a super place. Try to get a room in N.B.F. old house.
