Emails gain credibility with every "FW:FW:" in the subject line. Everyone knows that.

panthers, pumas, cougars, exist in Mississippi. I am certain that they do. I think that the question was about a black panther...right?

Alright here is my story. Last year while deer hunting in Quitman county I saw something that resembles a big cat. It was dusk and at about 150 yards I saw something slipping thru the end of the field. I thought it was a bobcat so I mounted the rifle and decided to shoot it. It was almost dark and seeing it was hard but decided to take the shot. Well when I shot the cat or whatever jumped into the air and I saw a long tail behind it. I must have missed because we never found blood or anything. Not thinking alot about it I walked out of the woods and to the truck were my son and a friend were sitting. Before I could get a word out about what I was shooting at both boys said the saw two black cats walk in front of the truck. Both said they were bigger than a house cat. Now I am not saying I shot at a black cat but it was something with a long tail.

It ran across the rode in front of me and went into a young pine plantation. it looked to be dark brown not really black. I stopped the truck when I got up to where it crossed and could see no sign of it. There were some people in the area at that time that had some lions in a pen. I have always wondered if one had got loose. I never heard anything about one getting out thought. It was really wierd. It was definitly some kind of big cat that crossed the road. I have no doubts about it.

If My memory serves me, there was a big cat or two that got loose over there at one time. But I may be wrong.

But I did once see the Hairy Man in a very compromising position with a black panther in the flat woods around Scooba.

there were about 3 lions if memory serves me that got out here in the out skirts of philadelphia. 2 males and a female. idiot had them in a pen and i think if i remember corectly he accidently left the door open. Cause someone was coming to take them. Saw one of the males one time. scared the crap out of me. Seeing a big male lion in neshoba kinda freaked me out a little.
