How will you game plan for the next couple of days?

Postby Click » Wed Jan 14, 2009 11:13 am

With the approaching weather and inevitable frozen fields where and when will you hunt (afternoons)? When do you think fields/sloughs will thaw? I will be hunting running water Friday morning but not sure about the rest of the weekend. Excuse my ignorance but I am trying to plan for guests this weekend.

I'm going to a creek mouth to hunt. I think you need to find somewhere where the water is flowing. Good thing about it is, If you where the water is not frozen, and everything else is, you should kill your limit.

Sorry, won't do it. Nothing worse than getting frost bite on your .... when you have to pee in this kind of weather. Plus everyone knows the birds don't move in this type weather.

The last time we locked up we found mallards in a dry field and worked on them pretty good.
