Meeka, I'd add to your comments about installing a pro shceme. I hope he does something like that when he gets the personnel. The game passed Jackie by! He thought he could play conservative ball like Bear B. That don't work in this day and time; there ain't many 6 - 3 games in college anymore.

According to Coach Croom, he will run a west coast/Green Bay offense. He will use the same terminology that GB is using. It may take a couple of years for him to recruit the personnel to run it successfully but I think he has the time.

Also, I did hear today that some of the players will either be asked to leave or will leave on their own. We have some dead wood on this team and that was never more apparent than over the last 2 years. I, for one, will be glad to see them gone and all of the trash talking eliminated. I think Coach Croom will run a taught ship. At least as taut as Coach Cut. Oops....I forgot about 'Smokin Joe' Gunn and the recent Denali's being handed out at Oxford. Maybe we don't want to emulate that team from Oxford.

Sure you want to emulate them. They win. Get the picture. I cannot believe a bulldog is making cracks about NCAA sanctions. At least UM self reported. Yer loosing credibility by the second.

Kudos to M$U

Great hire. Great man. Verdict is still out on his head coaching abilities, but he will need a few years. He should be a great one.

Sly will be able to recruit. If I were Ole Miss, I'd be worried. He'll be able to go in and get those kids who are on the M$U/OM bubble with ease.

I had hoped he would have been hired at Bama, but under the circumstances of both programs NCAA woes, its gonna take alot of time before any comparisons or evaluations have merit. Bama and M$U have both hired 2 men of integrity and class. Something both schools have lacked in the past few years. Lets just hope it rubs off on all the SEC schools and we can get back to making the conference the best in the nation.

Well said. Unfortunately I think all the schools think it is better for them to tattle-tale on the other schools for cheating. They all cheat, and it's not right, but that's the way it is. If every school in the SEC would worry about themselves it would make for a much better conference. JMO.

Can't say I know anything about Croom, except that he has NFL experience....I just know as a bulldog fan I will fully support him until he gives me a reason not too, I think all state fans should stand behind a new coach unless you have a legitimate reason not to support him....So maybe things will turn around for us in due time.......anyway GH22 I am with you all the way, man they give you a hard time about the bulldogs (and i know most of them are you friends playing with you....all in fun!!), just to let you know you have another bulldog with you...GO DAWGS
Thank GOD for Everything!!

Dang Mark....taking things a little personally aren't we??? We both cheat so at least have the guts to admit that Ole Miss isn't clean either. I never said State was innocent of anything.

P.S. I provided my "source" for the racist posts and I didn't see a response. I guess facts make me a conspiracist. That's the Ole Miss way of lawyering I guess.

I read the OMSN board every day and those "posts" were not on there.

All you did was put up some smack that you claim has been "deleted." How convienient. I guess that is the MSU method of denial. I never saw the stuff on that board.

You wanna get pizzy with me and impune my profession and school, fine. Fair warning.

Anyway, let's get back to football/Croom before this gets ugly! Did you hear Croom on SST tuesday night? He was asked why he took the MSU job so quickly, etc. He said he remembered playing msu when he was at bummer, and went on to say they won all 4 years but they knew it would be a hard hitting physical game which would still be going on in the 4th quarter. Then it got funny-- he said msu "never did any trash talking, they just lined up any played ball". I'm as big a msu fan as you'll find anywhere, but... Coach Croom has been gone a long time, things have changed in college football, lots of smack!!

Speaking of trash talking and M$U, what was that little dance the Dawgs did before kickoff/kick returns back in 99? They did it all year until they got to Tuscaloosa...pretty quiet after that.

Webbmaster, the rule was they did it as long as they led the game. When they lost the lead JWS stopped it. So, now you know why we have'nt seen the dance in three years  .

I detect a little self-righteous arrogance in your post. We've all witnessed the fall of the kingdom over there. Come on down to reality brother! Look at the program dude, it ain't impressing anybody anymore  .
