I was in that area last week and there wern't many ducks at all. A lot could have changed in a week, we did have a front pass through Thurs night/Friday morning so maybe something moved in, but as of one week ago very few ducks in that area.

Several people killed ducks in that area over the last two weekends. There aren't so many that you can hunt a hole for 3 or 4 days, but nonetheless, they did kill close to limits each. We actually hunt a little west of there and fared pretty well ourselves. All of the little slews and flooded areas are beginning to collect a few ducks according to travels up and down the roads.

Hunted there Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Saw less birds each day. Did kill birds every day though. Hope that helps!

ducks

Postby bigduck » Mon Dec 01, 2003 7:17 pm

If there are any ducks there it has to be more than what we have here. I hunt in Tn around the kentucky lake area and the huge amount of birds we had two days before the opener have vanished.

A buddy of mine is going to check the hole tomorrow. Cant wait to hear if we have ducks. Just lookin for a few to kill. Thanks for the info.

Drove from Holcomb to Tippo Bayou, North to Web, and on to Crowder. Did not see any ducks all along the way. However did see some on 32 on the way to Charleston on the water north of highway.

The duck #s are short in the entire NorthDelta. Plenty of geese.

Crowder and Marks

I hunted northeast of Cleveland today. Numbers weren't impressive, but we had enough big ducks to practice on. Our group of three took eight (4 greenheads, 1 grey, 3 woodies).

I was in Marks on the 29th checking out a new lease and didn't see very many ducks. I am kind of skeptical of buying in with no ducks and little water at this time. I haven't ever hunted this area before so I don't know what to expect.
