Patt pitts taxidermy work...

Postby wwa7 » Thu Jan 01, 2009 6:40 pm

I have been told that Patt does very nice work. I have never seen any of his work. Anyone have any pictures? I know Patt somewhat. I went over to his club YEARS ago with a friend of mine to snow goose hunt. He comes in the store a good bit(Sportsmans Warehouse) but thats about it... What does he charge a duck, whats he turn-around time, and whats his contact info? Any pics would be great... Currently Sonny Bowers is doing my work...

I just (the day before yesterday) picked up an AWESOME flying mount Pintail from Pat haven't had a chance to take any pics though. Search for posts here by "The Waterfowler" that is Mr. Pitt and he has posted quite a few pics of his mounts. If you want more I believe there are pages of them under the same handle (The Waterfowler). I have one of his business cards if you shoot me a PM with your address I'd be glad to drop it in the mail to you.

That link is to Shane Smith's taxidermy. Pat Pitt does many, many birds for me, my friends and family. His prices are not "2007 World" either, far less, but he'll get your birds to you in record time relative to everyone else I've ever used.

Pat does good work and was well trained

Was someone mentioning Sonny Bower? Where is he theses days, still in Memphis? He has done birds for me in the past and did a good job.

pat's done 2 eiders and an atlatic brant for me, and will be doing harliquins, barrows GE's, surf scoters and a bufflehead for me this year. going back to alaska next year, so much of the same will be offered to him to get done.

he's a great taxidermists and a good friend. sometimes i let it beat me down knowing i'll NEVER hunt a species of waterfowl he hasn't killed, but at the same time, he's a hunter (of all species), he's OCD when it comes to positions and mounts, and he knows what he's looking at when it's brought in.

a lethal shot, a good story teller and a great taxi, i'm proud to call him my friend.

i can get photos if need be, but rest assured, if a duck has been in a position you like, pat's seen it..............and, can mount it.

see ya'll next month, gator
