Re: Jack Miner Band!!!
Congrats Steele, I have killed one and my son killed one last season. When they send your packet it will contain all info on birds killed in Mississippi for the last 50 years, and the history of the Jack Miner bird society. You will recognize some of the names of people that have killed them in Mississipi. Call up there and talk to "Captain Kirk", he is Jack Miner's nephew. Congrats and I hope you are having a good season. Scott Bates

Thanks for the congrats and the same to you and your son. I hope you are having a good season as well. I just found out it is the 100 year anniversary band. I am looking forward to seeing the information they send.

No, I was with my father and 2 brother in-laws.
Fortunately, I was the only one who shot at the duck.
If Floyd had been there, he would have shot at the dead duck just to get a chance at the band.

I didn't do it on purpose, but I'd do it again if I could!

I really don't doubt that!

Congrats by the way. That is a true trophy of a band you have got your self.

Sounds like your buddy Floyd is just like your buddy, Tom T. You better get the band off the duck before Tom sees it, or it might disappear.

There will be a day....

Tell Tom I said hello, and to call if he wants to hunting, and congrats on your bands.

I was on the other end of a field from Webfoot/Hardin when he shot his Minor banded mallard. I have never seen a man so happy. I think Dan/MSDuckmen has killed one, too.
So many ducks, so little time....
