Anyone ever heard of the "Bays Call"?

I ran across this the other day: http://bayscall.com/index.html Its made by some folks in Ruleville. Although I am ultra skeptical of wood duck calls in general, I wondered if anyone had one of these. Kinda wondering what a "harp type" call would be, anyways.

I've carried a wood duck call for 8-10 years and put a Bays on my lanyard last season. It's the most accurate sounding call I've heard, although the volume is lower than the old Faulk I was using. Mr. Bays is a great person and he makes a fine sounding and nice looking call.

The reason I went to the Bays is that, like you, I've never had much luck using a wood duck call and I was looking to find something that would really work. Using the Bays, I can sometimes get them to circle around again and, if I'm close to the "x", the call can dial them in a little, but movement on the water is better for that. The one advantage I've seen with the Bays is that I can call them in on the water if they land just out of sight. When I'm hunting with my kids, that kind of helps.

With other adults or by myself, I don't believe I'd kill fewer wood ducks without a call. I'm probably switching to a whistle on that spot on my lanyard.

I had several of these call which were given to me by Mr. Lewis Bays back in the late '70's when we hunted together at Malmaison. They are a very simple call, and they do sound like a woodduck.

I hunted with a friend from South Alabama before Christmas in the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. He had a Bays call and it was the first I had ever seen. The call has a great sound and is very easy to blow. As he instructed me, you just blow it like a harmonica. It's probably the most realistic sounding wood duck call I've heard.
