My buddy was hunting by himself this past Saturday near Lambert and killed a Jack Miner banded greenhead, it was his first ever band and the first one of those I have ever seen. He looked on the Jack Miner foundation website and it said only six were killed in MS last year. Congratulations!

A guy at the camp killed one last year, but it was claimed by a kid and the guy was too nice to take it away from him. The kid didn't have a clue what it was.

I couldn't be happier! I had only heard stories about Miner bands, I never thought I would get one. I feel like I got a Boone and Crockett Duck!

got mine 9 years ago in Morehouse Parish in a rice field pit blind. It was my 10th band in 6 years and I haven't so much as touched one since.

It is a big deal. Be sure to email them. The Jack Miner story is awesome. The info packet they send you is awesome, too.

I reported the band to the "Jack Miner Foundation" the day it was shot. I am waiting on the certificate.
