Mag, I disagree. Our Offense played one of the best Defenses in the land and they overshadowed just how good our D played!! Our D played their asses off!! Damn!! Hell, That's the funnest game ive ever been to that Ole Miss Lost!! we made Vaught hemingwaY AS TOUGH A PLACE TO PLAY AS ANY IN THE NATION LAST SATURDAY!!!!! We just couldn't get any breaks and gave up one big play they didn't. Man was it rowdy!!! When Travis Johnson took the INT in for a TD.....man you talk about rowdy!!!! $#!+ I just got my voice back tonight!! $#!+ Im proud of our Rebels, we held our own with the #3 team in the nation for 4 quarters and scared the $#!+ out of em when it was 17-14 w/Eli driving the troops downfield int he 4th. Dont give me that P**sy $#!+ about we lost. In My Opinion we gave them that one, Hell even Nick Saban said it was a shame somebody had to loose that one!!! REBEL AND DAMN PROUD!!!!!!!!!! BLUESKY!!!

watchout state

Ohhhh... I don't know about that !

We will give UM a good game.... for about the first 3 or 4 minutes.

After that... I don't think Eli will realize he is even in a game. Prollay have about as many passing yards Thur. night as he did in practice yesterday !
I wish I were wrong about this....... But I ain't !

State would struggle with S. Panola ! Probably lose !

The players have absolutley QUIT !

Need to get Jimbo in there ASAP. At least, that is who I think it will be !

Rip Em !
OFFSEASON ?,..... Ain't no such thing !

Mag, I too am sorry about your experience with LSU fans, we have a ton of very well behaved and nice fans, however we have more than I would like of the obnoxious variety. I have seen some stuff that I wish and hope I never see again at an LSU game, it embarassed me and I won't even talk about it here. I have almost gotten in fights with LSU fans at our games becuase of the way they can act twoards visiting fans, it's down right sad and unfortunatley it happened. Like Bourbon, I feel most fans are good people at LSU some of the fans just give us a bad name. I also invite you to come on by sometime to tailgate with us. Bourbon I will try and swing by we are over across from the Cow Palace in the second RV lot, I will be pretty shot by the time we get there being I am going down river first, so not sure how much traveling I will do once I get there but will make an attempt.

Hey Jeff, I had good and bad experiences with the LSU fans. I will say the best experience I had was when I walked up to this group of coonasses in the Grove and I was just shootin the $#!+ with em, next thing I know they are pourin raw oysters down my throat. As much as I hate LSU, they know how to eat and party.

Bluesky,

I have never heard the Vaught get as loud as it did after that first INT.

The crowd was there,
The D was there,
but the Offense WASN'T there.

You take any Saturday in the last 2 months that we played, and put that offense in front of the almighty LSU Defense last Saturday and we would have won that game. I can't help it that we were SOOO close to doing something amazing and the one part of our team we had come to rely on-just basically gave up.

Jeff and Bourbon-

Next year, I will plan on making the trip to Death Valley, and I would be more than happy to take yall up on the tailgating invite.

LSU beat OM fair and square but we (the Rebels) sure had our chances...Just like UGA had chances and their usually solid PK missed FGs too...I will decide about LSU after the ARK game...If LSU beats the Hogs, they deserve to go to ATL...If they lose to ARK, then they were lucky against UGA and UM and UM deserves the ATL trip.

Sometimes the records and the results from individual games do not reflect it, but in my opinion, Ole Miss, LSU, Arkansas, Tn., Florida, Auburn and Ga. are all pretty evenly matched. I figure you could pick any two of those and play ten times and no team would win more than 6 times. Maybe, maybe LSU is a tad better than the rest.

As far as the game atmosphere, You couldn't find more good looking specimans anywhere than on the campus at Ole Miss. Moreso than usual cause LSU brought thier fair share of lookers.

Overall, the fans for both sides were within bounds. I saw some poor displays, especially a group of drunk fratrats on the way to the stadium who were a little out of line, taunting and using the F word. Ofcourse the LSU fans, as do most others when they make a road trip, are the gungho fans and they arrive early and party a little harder than when at home. Last saturday was no exception, 2 hours before game time you had to wait in a 50' line FOR THE MENS ROOM. And 90% of the line was LSU fans. There were probably more drunks before game time than I can remember. Maybe I just noticed cause I wasn't one of them.

Oh yeah, it was a great, well played game. Eli and Nichols did not perform as well as usual, but that was because of the extreme pressure and LSU's great defense.
