Blackcloud ?

Postby 7ducks » Mon Dec 15, 2008 6:43 am

I shoot Blackcloud/Kent/Hevisteel and like them all. can't really see a huge difference in their performance ..my question for the Blackcloud users, does your gun seem dirtier than usual, seems to be an unusual amount of unburnt powder in mine...and usually get residue in my eyes while shooting it.......Thanks

shot first box hunting geese this weekend and that was the very first thing i noticed, all of it was collecting back between my bolt and my stock. did like the performance but don't think i like them enough for the price.

We have noticed that shooting the Black Clouds are a little "dirtier" than other loads. I broke open a couple different Black Cloud shells, and there really isn't that many of the "Saturn" type pellets in each load versus the amount of steel pellets..not worth paying for...my .02

what I have noticed about Blackcloud is how much the ducks are bleeding out when I pick them up. Seems to knock em down good, but not stone dead (like Heavyshot--that stuff has the no wiggle formula). And then you have to finish them off. It does make it more entertaining for the dog to fetch though  a few more wing flaps make for easy marks.

havent noticed any more residue than normal. I do a quick swab after each hunt, so I may not notice the buildup.
