Anybody ever hunted the newport, ark area. It is west of Jonesboro and Weiner. Does this area hold any ducks?

I have hunted in Grubbs near there. Holds plenty of ducks.
If you hunt there, eat at the Mexican place near hwy 15 I think. Best Mexican I have ever eaten, worth the trip alone.

That's over by the Cache isn't it? Some good holes over that way, some not so good holes right now...ask whoever you're going with, they should be able to give you a good run down of the area, but generally you could do a lot worse.....

Duck Hunt, which day of the week do you generally hunt Claypool's? Most of the folks I know that hunt there keep pretty "hush, hush" about it.....

Don't hunt Claypool's but have gotten to take the tour... pretty neat place to see knowing the history about it... Hunted some private property that joins the Claypool property and the landowner I hunt with kinda overlooks the place when they aren't there..
