Banded woodie info

...got a drake on 11-30, my 2nd band in 8 yrs. I just found out it was banded 8-22-08 in Wisconsin, those little buggers sure travel more than most people think!
you did put in the plug, right?

congrats man!....im jealous. my brother killed a banded hen woodie a couple of weeks ago. cant remember where he said she was from though...

Could you find out? Am curious to know.

I remember last year several of the Woodrowes banded in MS were recovered in the Carolinas. They're Eastbound travelers I guess???

They dont follow the normal migration routes, I have killed on in MS that was banded in Columbus GA. He was bling on both feet too. 8)

Growing up in far Western KY we killed several banded wood ducks. During one early season when they were really tracking their flight we killed 3 $100.00 reward bands. Years after that the rewards returned to $5.00. Kind of neat finding out that they had traveled from the East, West, North, and South. Furtherest we ever knew about came from up in Minnesota. Heck we even killed one that had been banded some where around Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Years ago, kiiled a drake woodie in DNF that was banded two year earlier in MN.

Killed a banded woody drake on opening day and found out he was banded in Illinois

I took one that was banded in ontario a couple weeks before harvest. Brother took one from upstate NY.

I killed a banded hen woodie on 11/30 in clinton, La and it was banded 8/29 in pennsylvania.

The first duck I ever killed (20 years ago) was killed in Franklin GA. It was a drake woodie that was banded in Marietta MS! Haven't killed a duck with one since then!!!

I killed a woodie last year in early January. It had been banded 3 weekd befor in Penn. Now that joker was moving. It was a young woodie. 2 year. First ever band. Its waiting for a counter partner to get mounted together.

I killed a drake woodie about 3 years ago in greene county that was banded the same year in Wisconsin also
