Rain, rain, and more rain!!

Postby riceman » Tue Nov 18, 2003 7:30 am

Got lots or rain here in the Cleveland area early this morning and it still hasn't quit. Hopefully no one was in the path of some of the heavier stuff thats been moving across the northern part of the state. Hope this rain will be enough for you guys that have been needing it for your holes!

We've got the water, know we need the ducks to do what they do!
I looked at the temps for friday, 70 degrees. I think I'm going to put gatorade in my coffee thermos!

Ought to be just enough to scatter what few ducks have been concentrated!

Only about 1/2 inch in Greenwood. This is not enough to make a difference in the areas I hunt. Looks like it is shaping up to be a mud motor year.

Only about an inch here. Not even any water standing in the ditches.

Hey RIP

Onward and Valley Park only got an inch or so. Seemed to all soak in too. Like Wingman said, it's hardly any in the ditches. Going looking on Delta National right now. Later

Darn Don, that is too bad. It will be a crying shame if folks have to work really hard to get to the good hunting spots.

If anyone sees an injun doing a rain dance, shoot him.

Hey Bufflehead, I have talked with a guy in Greenwood that has helicopter service that has agreed to air lift me and my dog to my hole. He said that he could give me a cheaper rate if I could get him some more buisness. He said he would do pick ups as well, but you will have to call him on a cell phone to let him know when you are finished shooting. Are you guys interested? PM me if you are.

You guys ought to see the area around Cleveland. I traveled around the area today before coming back to the house and there is large amounts of water in the fields everywhere. I would give you an amount but my 5 inch guage was running over when it finally quite this morning. I mean the streets were flooded pretty good here in town. I do know that the Marks, MS area go close to 3.5" according to a farmer I do business with. Lots of water between Marks and Cleveland as well (Drew, Parchman, Tutwiler, etc...). As Double R 2 said, will probably be enough to scatter what ducks that were here. :(
