Anything made by Benelli! Can't go wrong with anything from Nova to SBE2.

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day

Super X3

That is false I have both and the xtrema ll is way better on recoil.. The xtrema ll has 2 different recoil systems..

Re: new gun
i agree with ducman...i also have an xtrema 2..its no comparison light loads feel like a 22 rifle and a 31/2 duck load feels like a 7/8 oz dove shot...it come with the kick-off pad with hydrolic recoil...sweetest shooting gun i have ever shot, evryone i hunt with is in love with it which most of them shoot a benelli..but all you have to do is go pick one up and shoot it a couple times, you will be in love and buy it just like 2 guys that shot mine did...
Re: new gun
If you are around greenwood anytime I will let you shoot both guns with 2 3/4 , 3 and a 3 1/2 and let you be the judge. The sbe is like a mule kicking you.

He is not big enough to get the SBE2 yet.. Couple more years...

Re: new gun
my opinion is from watching the same person shoot both, i haven't personally shot either. so i'll take your word for it on the recoil, i can't afford to much even look at a beretta or benelli

Re: new gun
My SBE II doesn't have much kick to it, but I can't compare it to an Xtrema II as I have never shot one.
If you want to feel a mule kick, get you a Nova with some Kent 3 1/2" #2's and see how that feels! The Nova will hold up to anything you want to put it through, but it will also put some punishment on you.

Best automatic for the money is the Beretta AL390. I along with 4 hunting buddies all own one. ~$530 brand new at Walmart.
