taxidermists/ what does your taxidermist charge?
just wondering what the going rate was for mounted ducks these days. had two done last year cost me 185 called back a few days ago and it is now $240. this is getting kinda pricey. anyone know of anygood taxidermist down south?
Re: taxidermists/ what does your taxidermist charge?
your not too far from meridian.... if you come up 59 and take the enterprise or quitman exit... you can get to jay's..... he is about the only one i know that way.
If it wasn't for bad luck then i would have no luck at all........

have you seen his ducks and do you know how much he charges.
Re: taxidermists/ what does your taxidermist charge?
i dont know what he charges but i have seen his ducks.... nice work, just what you would expect from someone that does it all(deer, turkey, bobcat, the works) he is not someone that concentrates just on one species. he does all the mounts for the big buck contest out of meridian.... which is the second biggest contest in the state besides the one in jackson... so he has some creditablity.

Hey Drakeshead, I went up to $250 as of August 1, but I will do a bird for any member of msducks for $225. When gas was sky high, all my supplies went there also. When gas came down, my supplies did not... so as with any job, I decided to either make money or quit. By the way, I am trying to have your pintail pair done by the 1st or soon after.
Later, Phillip

Anyone noticed we are seeing this trend with most freight? 6 months ago the only reason things went up was gas, leaving one to assume when gas came down the products would also....not so much. I think suppliers see it as you being conditioned to the new inflated price so why cut it unless they have to. Good ole American capitalism at its worst.
