Need a good gunsmith

Postby Ringbill » Wed Oct 24, 2001 6:52 am

I know this has been discussed before, but I need some help. Like a freakin idiot i screwed up my stock on my Browning Citori trying to put a rear sling mount on it. Rather than screw it up more trying to fix it I figured I would take it to a gunsmith to fix the hole I made and have them put the sling mount in. I live in Starkville, and I called Gary's in Columbus, but they didn't seem terribly confident that they could do a decent job. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Robert Wells in Waynesboro is the best. He only concetrates on custom made guns now but you may be able to talk him into helping you or sending you to the person that can. His phone number is 601-735-4505. His son is also working with him,his name is Keith Wells.

Why would you even want to put a sling on that gun?

Your best bet around here is Brownlee's Gun Works on New Hope rd in Columbus. The street # should be in the phone book.
