Texas Rigged Decoys with Weedeater line......(pics)
Re: Texas Rigged Decoys with Weedeater line......(pics)
It works even better when all the decoys are weighted keel then you chunk em all out at one time. Makes it damn easy

Ain't chit to it........Go to home depot and buy a package of trimmer line. I found the crimps at Big Bucks in Ridgeland. That's all you need as you reuse your existing weights. Holler.....bring a doz. over and some cold beer and I'll show ya how.

I know this system will go out and in faster than the old, so I will therefore probably toss out all of them versus just 1 doz. Cool rig, and after seeing yours last year reb, that's part of the reason I did them.
Lemme know if its true that they really don't tangle up after you use them a few weeks. If it works, I got a spool of 400 lb marlin line that would work pretty good to string some up.

The key is to hang them after you string them up. All plastics or mono line has memory. The twisting in curling of the line is because of the way the are stored. I'll let ya know as I plan on tossing a few out Thurs. morning!

I like it! What exactly are the black plastic pieces that hold the line at the end?

Jeff wrote:It works like a charm, you will like it DIB. I have all my decoys either stringed like that or with ACE anchors. As much as I like ACE, I think the texas style is not only cheaper, but easier and faster. Esp. if you have to move during a hunt.
This is why I like this idea so much

You aint been hunting till you been river huntin

I have a frtiend that rigged most of his with mono but used weedeater line for the remainder. He put them up when the season was over. The next season he pulled them out and rats or mice had eaten the weedeater line but didn't touch the mono.
