Kitrell's Restaurant in Lexington??
Any of yall that hunt up that way ever eat there?? There version of shapley's etc except you don't dress up. Food is better than most of the finest places I have eaten in jtown. There Bloomin oniion is the bomb. Steaks are great. This time I got the catfish kitrell which is fried fillet that is covered in a sauce with crawfish tails. EXCELLENT. Sides are all good. I have eaten there a good many times sice they opened up and never have gooten a bad item and he always has something new on his specials. It is in the square in lexington.

Yea, its a real good place to eat! I think that the chef or owner from the bourbon mall bought it not too long ago and is making a lot of the same food there!

Go to downtown lexington to the main square and go around the roundabout and it is on the right in an old brick building. At night it will be the only place with cars except for the liquer store. You won't regret it and yes he is the owner and he did come from Bourbon Street Mall Great guy that when not to busy makes sure he comes to speak. Owner and cook.

I stopped in there one night last year on the way to Tchula not knowing what to expect.
Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. The food was awesome! Not sure how often they do it, but that particular night, they had a band upstairs.
Plan on going there again this year - hopefully more than once.

Thanks for the tip. I've gone by there many times and often wondered about it but never gave it a try. I will this year.

Is it the owner of Bourbon Mall or the Chef that opened it? or are you saying Bourbon Street Mall as in a New Orleans Bourbon Street restaurant? Didn't know Mark cooked if he is the one. Or if it was Brian, didn't know he had opened a restaurant....

He was the cook and he and his wife opened it sorry but I can never remember his name. Will get it this weekend as I will be a regular.
