Yikes. If that plane only had chlorate in it, he has done irreperable damage to the ag-aviation industry by pranking. If indeed he sprayed the boats on purpose, and I don't know why in the world he would be in the middle of the River in the first place, they should revoke his license for good. I surely do hope they nip this one in the bud...this kind of thing is not good for aviation as a whole which is under severe scrutiny these days.

there are alot of flyboys like wingman who have worked so hard and spent tons of money to get where they are at... and then for some idiot to pull a prank like that and put undue pressure on small aircraft pilots, they may be a thing of the past during the next few years... good luck to you Wingman, and fellow pilots as well..

Who knows, he could've been turning out over the river and was mistaken for purposefully spraying the boats..I don't know, I haven't heard the full story. But that River is huge..and from what I've seen, most of the cropland is a good bit away from the river. Usually a big stretch of timber and such between the farmland and the river. Man, I sure do hope this fella didn't actually go down over the boats and cut the spray on..not good. But I wouldn't say that general aviation is on the brink of extinction. Small cars and trucks can do more damage under the hands of terrorists than small aircraft can. Think about delivery trucks, rental vans, mail trucks, and the big rigs. Sheesh, you could carry more payload in the trunk of a mazda than you can in my whole plane.

Well, it looks like it has happened again - this time near Natzhez. I tell you what, if this is a prank, someone has a horrible and twisted idea of what is funny.
I feel for you Wingman. Bad press can kill an occupation. I would know, I am a lawyer and you know how much the public loves lawyers. Keep up the good work.

The guy doing this better get this out of his system quick. It will be bad if the FBI catch up w/him, even worse if he double passes a boatload of duck hunters

4eye, I kinda figured something like that, but you never know. I mean, I know ag-boys are dumb, but hopefully not dumb enough to go spraying a boat.

P.S. for any ag pilots seeing the dumb part..just a joke

All I know if someone is stupid enough to do something like that at this time in our nation then they should be shipped over there to Aphganistan. There is no sense in doing something like that. I hope they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!!!

Duckmaster they shouldn't get prosecuted because all they were doing was their job just because some crackhead deck hand got sprayed with a little defoliant. don't mean the piliot should go to jail.

On the day in question it was about 15mph winds and some things you just can't help.

they say the plane sprayed the boats and turned around and sprayed again. well guess what he probably did considering he had a 65 acre field to spray. If you were a cropduster or a farmer you would probably understand. otherwise don't convict someone
for something you don't understand.

I don't understand why he was spraying over 100' from the edge of the field. I don't care if it is in a 30 mph wind. I know that the boat was atleast 200 yards off the bank.

He could of had a hose leaking. I hope so!!

The EPA is tough enough with out some nut spraying chemical in the river.

Hey Guy's. I have been a lurker on here for a while and actually know alot about you guys just from reading. I live in Natchez, but go to school in Clinton and I have some land about 15 miles south of Natchez. The same plane that sprayed the barge also sprayed some guys just south of our place while they were...get this...working on duck blinds. This was no accident. The guy was flying out of Angelina Farms and was doing it as a joke. I didn't think it was too funny and neither did anyone else. From what I hear he is in jail and is facing some serious time. I don't know what has happened in Rosedale, but they caught the guy in Natchez. By the way, this is a great site, I suppose I will begin posting some too. Good Luck to you guys.

Benelli20, Natchez is your hometown? Could you see about ridding the airport of the kamikaze deer? I flew in one night back in August, just touched down on rwy 13 and out of the left edges of my landing light, I see what appeared to be a doe and possibly two yearlings. They ran out in front of me and I hit one of them. I turned around on the runway, found no deer, taxied up to the ramp and didn't have so much as a deer hair on the plane. Man, I don't know how in the world I got out of that one, but I hesitate to go back down there in the dark anymore! Anyway, about those ag pilots, bad time to be pulling pranks.
