spotting scope???
I am looking to buy a spotting scope and was looking for suggestions. I don't want to pay over $250-$300,less would be better, and need one that could bounce around under the seat with out any trouble. I am mostly gonna use it for watching cows calve, at least that is my excuse, but i thought it might come in handy during hunting activities as well. any suggestions??? Andy

spotting scope???
South Woods, my dad got a Simmons 12-36x50 a couple of years ago and he basically done the same w/it. (throwed in in the back seat and let it ride) It has held up really well(it has a hard case), it is still very clear and works excellent. I can't remember the price but I know it was a good bit below $200.

I purchased a Nikon (at a going out of business sell) for work and have been disapointed with it. It is not good in low light. I would try the Leopold next time. I know it is out of the price range, but it would be worth it. I use mine most every afternoon in the winter looking at ducks and deer, and every time I use it I end up wishing I would have gone with a better scope.

there are many scopes to chose from in that 200 buck price range.. i have a bushnell 18X36X50 that came from cabelas a year or two back for less than 100 bucks.. its OK for what i do.. sure it is no Zeiss, but i have chump change left....{like 1100 bucks} i reccommend to get the most you can afford...
