Whats the complaint about the XLT?

I went through about 15 calls one day and found only one that sounded right. I can't explain it. I even did some tuning myself.

I've got all Southern Game Calls, since I live in Clarksdale, MS. and absolutely love them :o

I'd have to say though, my favorite has got to be "Black Widow" & the "Jewel"

I really like Buck Gardner's Tall Timber call....

I went by his place last week and got a poly one for Jr Broker, and I got the acrylic. Had a cute girl tune it for me. She was wearing out his goose calls... tuning them individually.
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

I was at Bass Pro the other weekend and just started pulling em out the plastic and trying them out. The only way to find the one that fits you is blow em. Like mentioned DR-85 haydel is hard to beat for the money and has a spot on my lanyard and I have some expensive calls. Not saying I can blow em. While blowing them a few that didn't sound too bad was a Zink power hen and some duck commander wood call for like 12 bucks. Had a pretty raspy sound. The less expensive route my buddies have ound is snoopin through my truck and pocket the one they like. What would you do without friends!

i've bought calls for 100$ and i've bought them for 10$ if you know how to blow them, that's all that matters. And another thing, i have every cheap call i have ever bought! It's the ones i've spent 50 or more that are at the bottom of the duck hole!
