Good. Cant be Cellular South prices. If you have a buisness go through ther buisness department though. You will get much much better treatment.

CS has better coverage in my part of the Delta....That's why I stick with AT&T

I think its a great idea. Cell South has the best coverage for Mississippi. They have a deal right now on the blackberry, 49 bucks with two year contract. The plan is 49 a month. That's unlimited nationwide text and data for emails and internet. Free mobile to mobile and 500 anytime minutes.
There are times when I can hold my phone up to others, I'll have half to fill service and the other phone with another carrier is showing an X for no service.
No complaints here.

Cellular South and Verizon have the same coverage map. They have a mutual agreement to allow each other's customers to use both networks. How do you think CS suddenly got nationwide coverage. So your coverage will be the same. I would venture to guess the customer service will be better with CS. I switched to CS back in high school when they first opened a store in Tupelo. Switch from AT&T, Bell at the time, and have never looked back. Better plans, great coverage especially in the delta, generally nice retail people in the stores.

been with them for a while now and have no complaints. I just wait til my contract runs out every 2 yrs and upgrade phones then.

CS can't be beat in this state....The only place I have had problems is on the river side of the levee North of Vicksburg and even then, I can get one out when I need too.....All other services fail when I have service...

CS has by far the best service in MS and also the best (and most economical) calling plans. Nobody else is even close.
Re: Switching from Verizon to Cellular South...good/bad idea?
Been with CellSouth since '94or'95 and been happy with coverage where I use it most - better "off the beaten path" than others, but others may be better on major highways. Hard to beat $50 unlimited MS (entire state plus TN upto Jxsn,TN and FL panhandle and AL coast) plus $5/mo text and $5/mo vm.

Cellular South is definitly the way to go. I left them one time and went to Cingular. It was awful. I will never leave them again. I went back in less than one month. They by far have the best coverage in MS and the best plans. I even turned off my house phone. We just use cellular now.

I've had Cellular South since the mid 90s. No real complaints here. None of them are perfect.

Re: Switching from Verizon to Cellular South...good/bad idea?
definately do it. My mom has verizon, dad has at&t, and I have cellular south. I am the only person that has service at our farm and I have full service, I have never lost service anywhere in mississippi and my parents do often. Plus your helping out or states economy instead of wherever verizon is based

I had to switch after 12 years when I moved here and went with cingular. Can't tell much difference but in the pocket book. AT&T gets you coming and going. I have them at three locations and mobile. If it wasn't for taxes an AT&T I might not have to work as hard. Maybe Mr. Obama will help a poo cheeseburger out.
