my dad bought some wolf and had problems. Anybody experienced problems from it?? He might have just had a dirty gun that caused the problems, but he felt it was the ammo.

Go to AR15.com

http://gun-deals.com/ammo.php?caliber=.223

I'd get mil surp ammo. Nato stamp a must. Stay away from Indian and Paki ammo. Wolf and some steel case Russian ammo is questionable. They have lots of threads on what is good and what is bad as far as ammo in concerned.

It would also be a good idea to have some extra mags as well. They will surely outlaw that as well. Esp if they get control of the supreme court.

i bought 4 sling shots and am currently practicing w/ wooden dowels rounded to itty bitty ball shaped things. no way steel will be allowed with the exception of high regulation and princely taxes.

i fear the end is near, so i'm arming myself with stuff that might fall through legal loopholes.

I had alot of problems with them in my mini -14. the red band around the bullet is very flakey and gets in th4e action and hangs it up if you shoot alot of them.

and yes i am stocking up on ammo and got 3 guns on order also

Went to Academy Sports today to get some 7.62x39 and they were sold out... said people had been buying rounds by the thousands, last guy today bought 10,000 rounds. Bushmasters were selling well too.

The Wolf brand will gum out everything and can become almost impossible to get clean. I don't shoot it in my Sig Ar-15. It has some coating or oil that gets everywhere. Went to the gun show to buy 223 and the guy I buy from had sold 15,000 rounds of it by Sunday morning and was out.

ditto. you'll probably find the best ammo deals especially for ARs on here and other ammo as well. Bought a AR couple months ago and just bought an xtra AK-47 as well and probably fixing to get a FAL 7.62 x 51mm NATO (.308) just to have one in the event!
