Tizza Yella and Jimmy Nealy

Postby jksboxofchocolates » Mon Oct 20, 2008 8:35 am

Jimmy Nealy had to put his Tizzy down this morning. Please keep Jimmy and Jody in your prayers. Tizzy was just over 2 and the sweetest thing and Jimmy's little girl. Sad sad day.

Oh, I am so sorry to read this. Please tell The Nealy's how bad we feel and that we are thinking of them at this time.

Tony,

He was running a T pattern with her for about 10 minutes last Monday and she got hot. He cooled her down with water and ice and she was drinking, walking and seemed fine. About 4 hours later Jimmy's wife Jody, who had been checking on her and walking with her, found her down and even with water and ice could not get her up so she rushed her to the emergency vet and they tried everything they knew to do and she got better and by Thursday last week all her levels were back in the "normal" range. She was still very sick but they had thought she was on her way back. It was short lived as she started going down hill again Friday and was back at the emergency clinic Friday night because she collapsed.

The vet is convinced that there was some underlying cause for the heat stroke in the first place. Just a very sad week.

Jimmy and Jody, we're so sorry for your loss. We lost our 2 year old to cancer this past May and it just breaks your heart. Our heartfelt condolences,

Man I really appreciate everyones kind words, thoughts and prayers. This has been one tough week. Jody and I are still in shock and not really sure what just happened to us, but our HRC friends have really let us know how much they care about us during these tough times. This message board is something else!, and I look forward to seeing yall at a hunt test or the Grand again soon. What a great bunch of folks.
Everyone needs to know that we should really watch our dogs and if you ever ask yourself....should I go to the vet?....GO immediately!
Thank all of you
Jimmy
