Saw some the Saturday before the season opened. Saw a couple scrapes too. North Mississippi
I hung a stand about 25 yds from the scape and let a friend hunt it last Sat am and he missed a 8pt 16-17 inches.

I hunt in N. MS and have seen quite a few rubs and even more scrapes...

shot an 8 pointer peeing on a scrape and making a rub. saw a 7 point tonight make a rub. saw several more fresh ones pop up every couple days.

Will a deer use the same tree year after year? I have heard yes and no. I found a trail last year behind the house where I killed a big un and I kept seeing more rubs after the fact, so I know there is anothern out there.

you sure you killed him?? :wink:

the 7 point I saw yesterday was using the same tree that the 8 point I shot last week was using. I thought it was weird, but maybe it's a common occurence.
