I thought it was really good. Glad it's back on. Not thrilled that they didn't put it on a little
earlier though. I'm not much of a night owl.

well if you have read Eric Haney's book the co does not just place someone in the unit.

they go through what is called selection. for the most part it is hiking with a loaded rucksack from point to point all day ever day for several days against a unknown time standard. At the end of this every member that has not quit or been cut must complete a 40 hike and if you complete that you go before the commanders board and are selected or rejected from delta. Not to mention the rigorous mental examinations that go on during selection phase. Once you are selected you go on to a demanding 6 month training course in counter terror, VIP protection / diplomatic security and a bunch of other things I cannot remember from his book.

so with that said I do not think you can just go out with the boys for a mission and then get a wink and nod from the sergeant and the co.
