I tried my first last year. They were pretty good. They eat rice just like the others in Arkie. What they eat has a lot to do with how they taste.

That has been my thought, but have yet to eat one. I usually use them for dog training.

So, that leads me to my next question.

If Specks are the filet of geese, then how come Snow's taste so bad if they are both feeding out of the same fields?

IF you aren't going to eat it, you shouldn't kill it IMO. We quit buying beef for the most part about five years ago. We just use what I kill for our meat. Had elk steaks one night this week, duck fajitas, Snow goose lasagana a few weeks ago. I have five deep freezers at the house, and I keep them as stocked as possible. I have two for seafood, and three for game. The system works great for me.

Do you guys really eat the ducks you kill, because I have heard lots of hunters say "Ducks are nasty as hell, I just like shooting them "?
In my opinion, you should eat what you kill, unless it is causing a problem, or harming you. I myself eat ducks, but I drown them in Allegro's Hot and Spicy and chunk em on the grill.

I used to cook em for my college roomates all the time..... you get one occasionally that ain't good, but like someone else said, if they are eating rice and beans, they are ok for the table. IMO
