I gotta break down an replace the original tires on my Honda 400....
Would appreciate any suggestions from any of you that have found good ones at decent prices.
I ride mostly in the mud and swamp getting to the duck hole.....can't wait.

that's a funny one about the power on the honda, you must have not ridden one lately.
i read an article that said the goodyear tire was the best overall. I can't remember which model of tire, mud something. it beat out the vampires, and all the rest.

JUDGE sounds like to me you need a set of gators they ride pretty good I work off of my four wheeler everyday riding around fields through cutover and through some pretty wet sloughs and swamp. they are kinda agressive and they do throw large chunks of mud but only at high speeds but I rarely get passed 2nd gear anway. I'm in the duckhole realestate business and they work for me.

It may take too much power for your Honda to turn'em, but you need to look at the Outlaw tires. They are similar to Vampires, but better.

While not recommending a tire I would like to inject this thought. In all my years in the Honda -Yamaha service business I have noted that the hard carcass tires seem to shorten the life of the axle bearings and related drive parts; not to mention wear and tear on your body. Some tire brands are considerably stiffer on the sidewall construction and this affects the ride as does the wide spaced lug of some of the sho nuff mud slingers. The heavy wieght of some plays havoc on the drive line. Keep this in mind.

So Swamp Rat, with what you said in mind....what would you suggest as far as brands and type for a Honda Rancher? (besides what they came with)
