Why put in for the draw if there is a chance you won't go? When I get drawn I go no matter what, to me I take away from someone else that could have gone if I didn't get drawn. Just my opinion, and youre welcome to come with me, I leave to hunt Venice LA tomorrow with 40mph winds and tides 5' above normal. Chances of seeing Jessica Simpson in my duck blind are probablay better than seeing any teal.

At noon I called the dredge, which is anchored in the river off of Venice, and tides where running about 5 foot higher than normal!

Yeah, I have hunted when it was 3-4' above normal before. I hunted some flooded prarie and it was actually decent hunting. Way I see it, it's opening day, I wanna go even if I don't kill anything I'm just ready to get out. I may have to launch at fort jackson thought to avoid tidewater road. I figure won't be able to get to it.

As far as the decoys, I'll take them all but Lindsey Lohan, she doesn't do a thing for me. Besides if she showed up I'd have to be worried about controlled substances in the blind! With the other two, there would be absolutley no control of anything in the blind!

Sorry if you didnt get a draw......It happens

I'm not sorry that i was wondering if i should go hunting and not kill nothing or i should go to church.

I know that church is my primary intention---so if i would had got the draws i wanted it would had been on Sat morning.

Try again next year and go to church good things happen

Nope never put in for the draw, don't hunt Mississippi. Just feel you get drawn you hunt. If you church is an issue which I think I a very good thing, then just don't put in for a Sunday draw. If you get drawn you hunt IMO.

I look at draw hunts like this, I got drawn and took a spot from a real nice guy and his seven year old going on his first hunt. Since I basically got their hunt I ALWAYS go when I get drawn on a draw hunt. Figgured you wouldn't like my opinion, but it's america and the internet so I put it up here.

If your worried about birds than you shouldn't put in for the draw, i was drawn for a Saturday hunt and had full intentions of going till I had to work at the last minute. If Church is your priority, which is should be, then don't put in for the Sunday hunts!!!
