I went out to my farm today for a little relaxing and reflecting time. I figured the doves might be flying so I threw my shotgun and a couple boxes of shells in the truck. I get to the place, drink a cold drink while just looking out at all the beans in the field and see some birds moving around so I said what the heck. I sat down and loaded two shells in my gun, quickly to be reloaded as I smooth missed a gimme shot on a close dove. Well that quickly changed as I was attacked by the kamikaze trained doves of the Mississippi Delta. I actually quadrupled on doves with an over and under. I shot twice, two birds down, then as soon as I could put two more shells in I had another double. Both pairs of doves were within 5 feet of each other when I found them, one to my right and one to the left of my position. I ended up shooting my limit and relaxing with the wind blowing and the clouds blocking the sun for me. I really enjoyed this hunt as it was a way for me to reflect on some stuff thats been bothering me with no one around, just me, God, my shotgun, and the doves. Anyways enough rambling here is a picture of the afternoon. Taken with the cell phone so its not the best!
By the way they were shot by a bean field with corn, sunflower seed, and beans in their crops.
