I-55 Contraflow North?

Postby Don Miller » Fri Aug 29, 2008 9:38 pm

Has anyone heard when I-55 will go to North bound traffic only? Leaving in the morning going to the LaTech game in Ruston. I'm nervous about this trip in more ways than one. I'd be happy with a one point win and no traffic gridlock.

The word down here in McComb is that they are switching the southbound lanes to all northbound at 6pm. They have a crossover done at Bogue Chitto (halfway between McComb and Brookhaven) to let the traffic back over. Don't know if they are just doing it to there or running it further north.

It is all in the hands of the State of Louisiana as to when this will happen. So, all we can do is sit and wait.
