Just for arguments sake.......
Let's ban mud motors too. There is nothing that I hate worse than walking in knee deep mud for an hour and getting soaked after stepping in a beaver run, only to have some topwater with a Go-devil come flying by with a twenty foot rooster tail slinging crap all over me and beat me to the hole. Besides, my Papaw didn't use one, and that means that mudmotors go against all that is holy in the world of waterfowling.
I don't own a spinner, and I never intend to buy one. But I don't really care if you do. I don't understand how someone can condemn them, yet use every other modern convenience known to man and still pass judgment on somebody that uses a spinner.
Again, just for arguments sake......
Who is the topwater here? Joe Blow with a $15,000 boat/mud motor, GPS, a $10,000 lease, diesel powered well to guarantee water, lanyard full of high dollar calls, field trail champion lab that someone else trained, but no spinners!.......
or...
Randy that works down at the body shop that can't blow a call worth a damn, carries a dozen carry-lites and two spinners, has to paddle to his hole because his 1980 model evinrude won't crank when it's cold, on already overcrowded public land.....?
Is it the guy who is 'buying' an advantage over the poorboys?
Is it the guy with the two spinners that has an 'unfair' advantage.
I like to use technology just as much as the next guy, and I am not trying to pass judgment on anyone. But as far as I am concerned, using a battery powered decoy is no different that using a gasoline powered engine to get you to your hole.
I think I'll just deer hunt,

Disclaimer: I have a boat/motor, 4-wheeler, some nice calls, lots of decoys(no spinners, but I'll still hunt with you if you do), a 4wheel drive, diesel power units, and lots of other stuff, too.
