Women Only Clay Target Event Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops

Postby sh00ter » Fri Aug 15, 2008 6:59 am

The event will be held on August 23rd. There is no cost involved...Bass Pro is covering instruction, target fees, shells, & lunch. There will be a short inside session at the meeting room upstairs at Bass Pro. They will serve lunch there as well. Then, the group will meet at Luckett Sporting Clays and shoot targets.

There will be loaner guns available. The Instructor will be Joe Rankin, Level III Instructor, certified by the National Sporting Clays Association. You can visit his website at http://www.clayandwings.com Anyone wanting to participate should contact him via the website to be added to the list. There will be a maximum of 25 participants. Those who are interested should sign up as early as possible. The minimum age is 16.

If we get good participation, I think they will do more of these. I've already suggested one for youth only & there is one scheduled for the general public in October.

There are already about 9 women scheduled for 8/23 from just one e-mail I circulated to some friends early this week. It ought to be lots of fun for the ladies.

I need to borrow a 20 gauge youth model autoloader if anyone has one they would be willing to let us use. I've already got 12 gauge guns. I can be contacted via my website: http://www.clayandwings.com

So your Joe Rankin??

I have a 20 guage Autoloader you can borrow, but it is not a youth model.. It is just a cheap CD but it shoots good and is very light weight..

Thanks for the offer. I think I know where I can get a youth model a friend bought for his kid when I started him shooting. I hope he hasn't sold it because the kid is about 18" taller now.

I prefer a youth model because of the shorter stock. I know I've got some ladies signed up who will need it. If that doesn't work out, I'll be in touch.

Thanks again for the offer.
