bricks
How many bricks would I need to go 312' and 3' tall, and about how much will it cost me?
Re: bricks
search for "brick calculator" in google and you'll come across plenty of websites with calculators on them. Below is from http://www.alconco.com/index.php?option ... Itemid=312 (just a site I picked out the umpteen options that came up).
Number Of Bricks Required 6552

Re: bricks
How wide is it? I can't figure the number of courses without width.
I'm figuring 416 bricks per course and roughly 15 bricks to cover the height.

Re: bricks
You're looking at about $8.74/sf, material and installation, for your average grade brick in the Tupelo market. Prices may have increased some since this price list was released 7/1/2008.

Re: bricks
Depends on wether it is Standard, Queen, or king size brick. Think you figure 7 brick per sq ft on standard and 5.5 bricks per sq ft. You can also figure about $350 per thousand for the brick and $350 per thousand to get them laid. Not sure how to figure motar or sand. The color motar has alot to do with the cost, gray being the cheapest costing about $7 a bag and white being the more expensive costing about $20 a bag.

I am wanting to put a wall at the bottom of the backstop of my baseball field.
It will stretch 156 ft. I want it two bricks deep so that would be 312 ft. and it will be 3 ft. tall.
As far as the pavers or cast stone, I have now idea. This is the first time I have ever dealt with this.
Re: bricks
It takes 6.75 brick per S.F. if it's standard brick. You figure 7 brick per S.F. to cover waste. On the average, you can figure about 800.00 per thousand for material (sand, motar & brick) & labor on residential type work as long as you use a standard grey mortar. Grey mortar runs about 6 or 7 bucks a bag and colored mortar runs about 13 a bag.

Re: bricks
I don't know if a two brick depth is going to be substantial enough for holding up.
Re: bricks
He can run straps to the existing backstop.
