That would be another Noah's Ark event and the bible says that aint happnin again. I believe the world is supposed to be destroyed by fire this time, not water!! So if it's going to be destroyed by fire, the global warming would make sense but not the rise in the ocean!

AMEN brother, he hit the nail on the head when he said the only difference between today and back then is now we have internet and 24 hour news channels to tell everyone the earth is warming. I mean, I know they can take deep soil samples and Ice samples and crap like that but come on, can that HONESTLY tell the WHOLE truth about the climate 100 years ago, or 200 years ago or more?????? I mean, how can you take a deep core sample and tell that 250 years ago the average summer temperature in Jackson, Mississippi was 98 degrees and 75 years later was 92 degrees.?????????

All we have to do is STOP littering, Stop using things that are KNOWN to be harmful to the atmosphere and live life like we should and stop dwelling or stressing over how the earth is globally warming and the freakin sea will be 5 feet higher within 50 years!! The temps on the other planets in the solar system have increased. Are we causing that too? Here is a hint...there is a giant ball of fusion in the middle of the universe that provides constant heat at variable levels. Me driving a vehicle that gets 10 mpg isn't going to change that, neither are windmills, electric cars, carbon credits, or any of this other bull crap.

CO2 concentrations have doubled in the last 300 years and polar ice caps in the Arctic and Antarctica are melting faster than any scientist imagined 2 years ago...No one on this thread has offered any reasonable explanation for either of these phenomena whereas irregular weather patterns (including all time highs one week and all time lows the next week and drought and flood events) are all consistent with what GW scientists have been saying....

Switching gears for a minute, have yall realized that with 70 and 15 for doves and 3 woodies instead of 2, we have been given a whole lot more hunting opportunity this year than anytime in recent memory...Could be an epic wingshooting year of the birds cooperate- something I'm sure we can virtually all agree on.

Watched the video on Delta Waterfowl's webpage yesterday and he made it sound like this season is gonna suck for everybody except the Atlantic Flyway. But I'm with you...my vote is for the epic wingshooting year.

Actually Duck Picker, I read the article and all the blog posts in response to it...Bottom line is that the data do not support the weatherman's statements...Note that he is a weatherman, not a climatologist nor astrophysicist...In particular check out posts #41, #43 and #45...

I encourage all GW Naysayers- most of whom are anti-environmental movement, so called conservative, right wing Republican types to watch the Olympics and realize that the air quality in Beiijing right now is far better than it was a year ago due to millions of vehicles that have been taken off the streets and roads and cessation of construction activities. Even then, the Beiijing air quality is far worse than anything allowable by EPA under American air quality standards. If not for environmental movement which lead to passage of the Clean Air Act, this is what the air of most major American cities would look like...

I don't need Al Gore or anybody else to tell me the Earth is getting hotter. I hunt- I know. 100+ days per year in the Mississippi deer and duck woods over the last 10 years and 50-75 days per year in the preceeding 30 years, gives me 40 years and 1000s of days in close contact with nature to draw from. There were an estimated 4000 mallards in the SE Delta during the mid-winter waterfowl survey last winter. Only 2 of the radio band mallards were in Arkansas or south. Use your common sense. The reason ducks don't migrate like they used to is because they don't have to since the temps are not cold enough to force them south. Hopefully this year will be different but in general, winter ain't what it used to be. Which brings us back- full circle- to how this thread started.

I give up. It's impossible to argue with the ignorant. It's easier to join them. I'm officially on the global warming band wagon. I'm moving to Nashville so that I can own some beach front property when the polar ice caps melt. Also, if anyone is interested, I'm selling all of my duck hunting stuff since the duck population will never again migrate past the Canadian border. Thank you for opening my eyes and showing me the error of my ways.
