State may suck but they will still kick Ole Miss's booty all over the field, you can count on it. Oh and by the way, Jackie hasn't forgotten about the 3 extra points that ole' Cut put on the scoreboard late in the game. LSU better hope they come ready to play ball cuz there are some pissed off MSU players walking around ready to take their frustration out on someone.

Point #1.....talk is cheap! That's been well-documented on this sight.

Point #2.....part of the problem with MSU's play IS their attitude.....so they're gonna be pissed-off and ready to kick butt....that doesn't win ball games. They always say the right things in the pre-game 'hype'.... using terms like 'focus', 'concentration', takin'care o' biness', and 'execution'......'trouble is, they don't have a clue what the hell ANY of it means or how to apply those CONCEPTS to the game. They're just repeatin' something they heard the coaches sayin'......'goes in one ear an out du udda. (I wish they wouldn't even interview players, at all) [img]images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif[/img]

What they NEED is the realization that it's not necessarily a matter of one player 'steppin'-up in a 'leadership role' (as all of'em are trying to make the 'big play' to vault them into that role). Leadership comes from the top, down.....that's the coaching staff's responsibility to prepare the 'team' for game day. The players just need to RELAX, HAVE FUN, and PLAY AS A TEAM.....but they can't, because they're worried somebody's critical 'finger' is pointing at THEM. Hell, it's a wonder Madkin can even handle a 'snap' with all the media criticism he's recieved...how could anyone perform well, under those circumstances?

Nobody thinks Grossman lost the game against Auburn...."he just had a bad day"......well, Hell yeah he had a 'terrible day'.....but how 'bout let's give a little credit to Auburn's defensive coaching staff and the rush and coverage they put on Grossman, that got him out of his rythmn. DUH!
