Brreaking Back Window in my Tahoe

Postby fivemile » Tue Sep 09, 2003 3:18 pm

I need some ideas bad. My Tahoe has buckshot mudders on it. When pulling my 4-wheeler trailer on gravel roads, rocks hit the trailer and bounce into the rear window of the truck and break the window. I extended the tongue where the trailer is 7 feet behind truck; but that did not help.

keep it under 95 mph....
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

When it breaks, you'll think a bomb just went off in the car. So how many times has this happened anyway?

1. Don't drive on gravel roads; or
2. Make sure you have fenders ON YOUR TRAILER TIRES.

Thanks for the tips. I am going to try the mud flaps and hope they stay on the truck.

Meeka is right. You must not have fenders on your trailer. That has happened to me twice. Make sure the fenders cover the tires very well, or it will happen again.

Feedcall: I have fenders on my trailer tires. They come down and cover about 1/2 the tire. Do you think your trailer tires was causing your problem?

How about trying to put carpet or something esle soft on the trailer, maybe this will keep the rocks from bouncing back.
