Shock Collar Recommendation

Postby chopper30 » Tue Jul 22, 2008 9:08 am

You always hear people recommend products and I always wonder whether they are recommending them because they truly have put them to the test or because that's what they have, so it has to be the best. So anyway I never recommend things unless I can back it up. So the last afternoon of duck season, I hunted with waterfowlwidowmaker at a field in the south delta. The next week while cleaning everything up, I realized that I had lost the remote to my shock collar. I thought I knew about where it had to fall out of my bag and planned to go back and get it. Well, I got busy and distracted and even forgot about it for a little while. And as everyone remembers, we had a little flood in the south delta this spring. Well Sunday afternoon I finally decide to ride up there and see if I could find it. Rode out there, dug through the grass and finally spotted the strap. I grabbed the strap and pulled. The remote suddenly appears from beneath the ground.... Well I figure, at least I found it, cause surely it ain't gonna work. Take it home, plug it up and the light comes on. Give it a little time to charge, put it on my hand and zap, dude still works. 6 months it's been sitting out there! Even been through the great flood of 08. So if anyone is looking for a realiable shock collar, I would strongly recommend the SportDOG Wetland Hunter 800.

That's good to hear. I bought a sportdog this year after replacing way too many TT sport 50s and have been very pleased so far.
