I'm just plain ignorant so forgive me if I'm screwing up. Do you have to be a member to shoot, or can you show up? How do you join? How many zeroes have to be in the check to join?
I'd like to shoot more frequently if ya get my drift. The navy base (Meridian) used to let a man shoot on Sundays but the base is now all closed off to civilian folks, thanks to the hanky head idiots.
Starkville Gun Club Question
Starkville Gun Club Question
Most gun clubs charge about $70 to $100 a year for a membership. Guests can usually shoot if they are there with a member. Starkville is probably something like that.

Starkville Gun Club Question
Booger:
I believe it is between $75 and $100 for a year membership to the Starkville Gun Club. I'm sure Randy can give you the exact details.

Starkville Gun Club Question
Sorry I been outa pocket this weekend, Booger.
Membership dues start in January and are $65/yr. However, if you join now (for $100), you won't have to renew until January 1, 2003. Upon payment of dues, you will recieve a key to the gate, which is also a key to the clubhouse. To get a key to the skeet houses, you must purchase a 20-round target card for $50 (that's $2.50/round). Otherwise you'd have to shoot when there are other members (with house keys) when they are there, and pay $3.00/round. You register any guests and turn-in their target fees of $4/round whenever you finish shooting. (Guest fees may not be marked-off a member's target card). It's basically the 'honor' system. 'Great thing is....you can use the club whenever you want to (provided there aren't any pre-scheduled events like registered skeet/trap shoots).
In addition to the shotgun fields, we have a 100yd and 200yd covered benchrest area for sighting-in hunting rifles and a pistol 'plinking pit'. No charge for use of facilities other than shotgun fields.
If you're interested, e-mail me and I'll give you a contact number and address to send your fees. I'll be glad to run you thru a quick orientation if you decide to take advantage of this great deal. Looking forward to shooting with you, again!
