The Motorola Phone Tools CD allows you to make ringtones for your phone.

I use any sound recorder and make my own. Matter of fact, I recently made a ring tone of GH22 blowing a call. If anyone has some duck call sounds files and wants a ring tone, PM me for my email. I'll make them and email the mp3 back. ASR is pretty easy to use and it lets you see the entire song and play the area you select before you save the selection.

or go to http://www.makeownringtone.com

It lets you upload the song and chop it up to whatever you like, then you can download your edited tone

Try to google mp3directcut, it also let you cut the part from a file you want to keep.
