Ever Hunted With A Jonah

Postby laduck » Sat Oct 13, 2001 9:04 am

Over the years I have hunted ducks with a good number of people, and my best friends today are men I got to know in some swamp or marsh. Men with scraggly beards and patched waders are most often men of sterling character. Find a man who treasures an old beat-up pump gun and extols the virtues of a Labrador retriever and you have a man of substance. Usually! There have been exceptions.
A Jonah of course is a man besieged by bad luck. I have found that one of my friends has a dark cloud of bad luck. This has come to light over many years of hunting together. Do any of you have a friend who has this cloud? Maybe we could get our friends to hunt together. Jack

I don't have a freind like that, simply put it's me. So I guess I have a few freinds that know a Jonah Jack. Guess you needed to know that in case we ever decide to take our new truck huntin' together some time.

My luck, I'm huntin' with the "Jonah", we're in the boat, the storm hits and we have to throw him overboard..only to be eaten by a giant gaspergoo.
