2 of us hunted in the rain yesterday morn and afternoon bagged about 25 total - man what a sweet swinging gun - has the feel of an O/U- i added a little weight to the rear of the gun for a little more balance also adjusted the length of pull to fit me better- i've always shot remington - i don't think i'll ever go back.i made this purchase with the help of input from this site and other sites --ain't the internet sumthin?

Two common ways to add weight to the rear are to take off the recoil pad and put a "dead primer" reload with as much lead as you want in the stock bolt hole, and shim it in, or epoxy in fishing weights in the same place.

WD - took a lead strap off one of those orange bouys you use to mark a fishing hole with(its a little wider than a duck decoy strap)--shaped it to fit parallel with the underside of the stock bolt and just taped(eletrical tape) the strap to the stock bolt - slid the stock back over the bolt (with weight taped to it)and that was it - it sounds archaic buit it really worked-- had to cut an inch or so off the strap because it was close to being longer than the stock bolt itself
