Hey ya'll...I'm new

I was just gonna say I'm new to this forum. I'm from Corinth and dad got transferred, so I've been stuck up in this hell hole called Indiana for a while.

Anyway, I'm going to go to MSU next year. I might be graduating at semester and take some classes at Northeast until the fall for MSU.

I've got lots of relatives in the Corinth area. I'll be down in December to do some duck hunting with some buddies in the Tuscumbia River Bottom.

Oh yeah, the names Ben Pettigrew, son of Dan Pettigrew, and related to about every Pettigrew and Barnes in Corinth.

Welocme aboard, Ben! Your stock just went way up when you said you were gonna be a Dawg! Obviously, you are enlightened enough to make the best choice in colleges! I just hired a basketball coach from Indiana, and, man, is he glad to be out of there before winter sets in. I've always liked the folks I meet from there, if they are from the farming country instead of the cities. They seem more like Southerners than most other places I've been. But, you get on out of there before they convert you from grits to cream of wheat for breakfast! I miss MS, too! This is a great forum to help you keep in touch.

Welcome aboard, Ben. Nice to have you. You may have noticed that I live in Corinth. I think you are several years younger than me and may not recall, but if I remember correctly, you were my neighbor before you moved. Did ya'll used to live on Minor Rd?

Hey Matt, yep that's right, we used to live up the road in that little blue house, I think it's gray now.

But yea, mom said your mom and my grand ma were really good frined, or your grandma or something. She said also that your dad? fought in Vietnam with my Uncle, my mom's brother, Duran Barnes?

Well, I was recently back, I don't know if you heard or not, but my aunt Eunice died in August.

Yeah, I heard about you aunt. We were all really sorry to hear that she passed away.

I think my dad and Duran inlisted together and went to boot camp together but I'm not sure that they saw each other after that until they got to come home.

Anyway, glad to have you on the forum. Lots of really good guys here. I've never met any of them in person, but sure would like to. We talk ducks, and guns, and dogs, and football, and polotics, and anything else thats on someone's mind. Most of the guys will even help you out with good advice and prayer support when your in a tight spot. Great bunch to be associated with.

jump in and have a good time..... i'm only a few miles west of you... hope you fellows bust the ducks in Tuscumbia so they will settle in my hole....haha.... will carry you to the Shack one day if you don't mind wearing a blindfold.... i just have a hard time trusting just anyone...haha..... have fun....
