Point is expensive cameras/phones can very easily be protected by lil ziplocks. BTW, some on here like Bankerdude indeed light their ceegars with C notes and don't shoot many Winnchesters... Who turned your rock over?

I can put a big Nikon digital body and a big honkin lens in a gallon zip lock, and it works just fine inside a floating blind bag. Do it all the time.

I have one of those but I use it more for fishing. I wade fish so I just hang it around my neck and stick it in a shirt pocket. One problem. If it gets wet or rains, you need to have something with you to clean the lens. If not you will have water droplets on the lens and the auto focus won't work.

You can add it as scheduled item to your homeowner's insurance. Just like a wedding ring. It is just called an inland marine policy. It has nothing to do with boats.
