Welcome back, old Friend!

Postby Wingman » Mon May 12, 2008 10:02 pm

I dumped out some old sunflower seeds at the shop while cleaning out my planter last Friday. Same place I banded about 30 doves last summer. Today I just happened to have my camera in hand, and this guy landed on the wire above me. I saw something in the sun, and only after zooming in on him, did I realize what it was. I guess he's still got a hankering for peredoviks.

Too bad I didn't have one of y'all with your jillion dollar zoom lenses. We could've read the band.

you don't need an expensive lens to read that band, a $35 Red Ryder BB Gun would do just fine.

Neat shot, I would be curious to see if it was one you banded.

You jest, but I had my 12 gauge slung over my shoulder and the camera around my neck. I was on starling patrol.

Old Rob tried to prevail, but new Rob kicked him in the shin and punched him in the mouth and so ended the temptation.
